Athanasius Kircher, a 17. századi jezsuita polihisztor szerteágazó munkásságában egységes rendszert alkot a szabályos és a szabálytalan, megoldásai inkább egyfajta kérdés-katalizátorként szervesültek. A kiállításon látható munka egy Kircher által inspirált terep, a jelenségek összehordásásnak szigete.

There was a time when the wide range of the world’s phenomena could interconnect in a single mind; the beauty of thinking was capable of invention. With the right amount of curiosity and through the linking of observations and wonders a unified, albeit strange worldview became possible to articulate.
In Athanasius Kircher’s, the Jesuit polymath’s multifold work, the regular and the irregular make for a unified whole; his solutions more or less turned into question-triggers. The pieces of the exhibition constitute a space inspired by Kircher, an island for the accumulation of phenomena.
